It’s Throwback Thursday! No dubstep selection could possibly be complete without this insane track dropped back in 2009 from Doctor P. “Sweet Shop” has one of the most memorable drops of all time, a sampling technique that many have emulated since this was released. The usage of high-pitched frequency and beyond-heavy bass is sick in and of itself. Check out more @Doctor P, and enjoy a classic!

We’ve had a few Doctor P remixes on here before (like Star and Louder), so you know this producer, Shaun Brockhurst, can absolutely bring it. Elliot Gleave from London, better known as Example, has had tons of his tracks remixed by the best dubstep producers out there, and “Last Ones Standing” is just one more shining case showing just how well it works. He is one of the most successful rappers in the UK, and Doctor J is one of the most successful producers in the UK — sounds like musical fusion to me!

This track is an absolute must-listen for all the dub fans out there. Great drops and killer backing vocals with Example’s wicked hip hop raps overlaying it all? Yes, please.

Doctor P’s remix of “Star” by Blame (ft. Camilla Marie) came out late in 2010 and definitely has helped propel Doctor P’s dubstep career further. Shaun Brockhurst, the man behind it all, is perhaps even better known for mixing songs with other dubstep artists in collaboration work, most notably pairing with Flux Pavilion on the Circus record title for hits like “Sweet Shop” and “Big Boss.”

The female vocals of Camilla Marie made this song a real success for Blame, but naturally it’s our opinion that the dubstep version is much better. With some great drops and a very natural-sounding mix, this one simply works.

This loud track just dropped a few days ago, a remix of “Louder” (by DJ Fresh) done by Flux Pavilion and Doctor P. This track is absolutely insane, and a must-hear for any dubstep fans out there. The full version will be released in early July… but until then here is a great extended version of the 2:30 teaser! Circus is the label from Doctor P and Flux Pavilion — these two established and popular producers are doing big things, so this is the label to watch in our opinion. Props to our buddy Tom Revell for bringing this one back to our attention.
